H-System
The H-System connects several intrinsic safety barriers to a termination board, thus creating an interface connection between the field devices in a hazardous location and the process automation system. Compared to a single interface module, the termination board can greatly simplify and minimize the wiring.
The termination boards have a robust fiber reinforced plastic housing that provides support and protection, and enable fast and reliable mounting within the cabinets. They have multiple slots for tool-free mounting of the intrinsic safety barriers. These modules are hot-swappable. For easy handling and maintenance an optional fault monitoring board is available.
Pre-assembled cables with multiple contact plugs reduce the complexity in planning and documentation. They replace the complex single point-to-point wiring between board and the I/O card of the controller (DCS, ESD).
Termination Boards- Standard termination boards feature screw terminals which can accept wires up to 2.5 mm² (14 AWG). Boards with spring terminals or Sub-D plugs to connect to specific automation systems are available.
Modules- There is a wide range of interface modules available for the galvanic isolation of intrinsically safe field signals to the automation system.
