The Federal Motor Vehicle Authority has awarded the e1 Type Approval to the F99 series inclination sensors
F99 Inclination Sensors – now approved for use in public highway traffic applications
In Germany, industrial sensors that are installed in vehicles require the approval of the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (Federal Motor Vehicle Authority). The F99 inclination sensors from Pepperl+Fuchs received the e1 type approval in November 2008.

- Heavy goods vehicles: Indication of the inclination of loading ramp walls
- Lifting devices: Alignment of lifting platforms
- Construction machinery: Monitoring of drilling angles
- Fork lift trucks/ stackers: Monitoring the inclination of the fork
